Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides is an amazing foreground aquatic plant as
commonly uses in aquarium and also very easy maintaining. It has been found
throughout all part of INDIA, hard tropical areas are usually uncomfortable for
them,
Habitat and Ecology
In the
habitat it mostly found in shallow water and slow river stream.
Morphology
As it is a creeping stem plant, like most of stem plant it can grow by
cutting stem. It usually produce flower seasonal in the habitat while emersed.
It can also propagate by seed, after summer season most of plant goes to die
and then seeds procreate the new plant while the rainy season comes
Cultivation/Usage
Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides can be use as a bed plant, and also to create a bushy
foreground, needs medium to highlight with additional co2 while submerge in
aquarium, and also needs nutrient rich substrate.
Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides with Hydrocotyle leucocephala var sibthorpioides, Selaginella sp,thalose liverwort,Trifolium sp & some other semi aquatic plant.
