Microsorum pteropus(WB)

Microsorum pteropus(WB)

Java Fern

Microsorum pteropus is a beautiful aquatic fern with lots of variants of its leaf stature. It has still in mystery that every leaf structure grows on which condition.now am going to explain some of my experience on their mysterious appearance of this plant.
First, its looks little different in their habitat. It depends on -
              1. submerge
              2. water condition
              3. emerge
              4. humidity of atmosphere
              5. temperature
              6. shadowiness

Emerged Microsoroum pteropus under my culture

In submerge condition the plant produce single tapering head of leaf, but sometimes in submerge condition this plant can produce two tapering head or trident( hare am discussing about the trident leaf structure of  Microsorum pteoropus. Microsorum trident is a different sp ) of leaf structure from old leaf.but its happens seems to be in high light condition..

The new plant generates from their rhizomes and also can be generate by the old leaf( while submerged) and have seen sometimes new plants sprouts by spore in habitat .

New plants propagating by old leaf

Generally Microsorum pteropus grows in shadow of tree with high humidity(75-100 percent) atmosphere in rain forest. Not necessary to need soil but sometimes it can be found on rock.

The maximum of the plant's leaf structure becomes to trident leaf stature in immerse condition. The young leaf's tip are creampie, pappy and light colored. And that portion is augmentative of the leaf.

Sometimes,In emerged condition the old leaf creates spores under(opposite side of leaf) the leaf
