Eleocharis sp(WB)





Eleocharis sp is a great aquatic plant and also very commonly using for aquascaping;basically foreground or for creating a bed of grass.This Eriocaulon sp is very similar to Eleocharis parvula.



This plants commonly found in flatland of  westbengal without brackish area.This plant is propagate by seeds and also by rhizomes. A very interesting thing is some of new plants are produce by the old leaf’s tip while submerged.
Habitat Of Eleocharis



This Eleocharis sp get start their propagation  at the starting of rainy season.



 But at this time their propagation happens by seeds,but while it already grown as the middle of the rainy season; so-that the lowland of the habitat has filled up by water,And in the submerged condition it can produce new plant by it’s leaf rhizome.


 After rainy season the water label comes down and becomes emerge and this emerge condition the buds comes out..
